Evelyn Wallis Williams, 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, March 31, 2012.
Mrs. Williams was Baptist and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Maurice (Victoria) Aitch, Dwayne Lett and Freddie Swing; daughters, Natalie (Mickey) Washington, Rayetta (Walter) Robertson and Donna Hawkins; brothers, Jessie (Martha), LeRoy (Joyce) and Donald (Helen) Ray, Ernest Mart and Tyrone Celestine; sisters, Carol Ray, Bertha (Roland) Thierry, Yolanda Mart and April, Effie and Sheryl Wallis; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Williams; parents, Thomas Sr. and Celia Mae Ray and Abraham Wallis; daughter, Linda Aitch; brothers, Arthur, Thomas and Ronald Ray; and sister, Gay Dawson.
Burial was at Southdown Cemetery. (Community)
