Ferman Sims, 67, a native and resident of Belle Rose, La., died Saturday July 11.
He is survived by five sisters, Willie Mae Arceneaux and Gail Sims of New Orleans, La., Ethel Sims, Althea Sims and Jomary Hayes and husband Steven Sr. of Belle Rose; three brothers, Wilbert Sims Jr. of New Orleans, Benjamin Sims of Paincourtville, La., and Ura Sims Sr. of Belle Rose; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber “Jack” and Neola “Tut” Watts Sims; one sister, Audrey D. Reed; and one brother, Joseph Sims Sr.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at First Israel Baptist Church in Belle Rose with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
