Florence Verdin Cotton, 74, a native of Grand Caillou, La., and a resident of Dulac, La., died Thursday, April 17, at 8:16 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Lawrence Cotton, Dennis Cotton, Larry Cotton and wife Louella, David Cotton and wife Phyllis and Daniel Cotton and wife Samantha; daughters, Dianna Cotton, Patricia Cotton, Virginia Billiot and husband Julius and Jean Graham and husband Richard; brother, Antoine Verdin; 23 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Cotton; parents, John and Azelie Fitch Verdin; brothers, Joseph, Albert, Paul and John Verdin; sisters, Josephine Lodrigue, Edna Verrett and Rosella Billiot; and grandson, Paul Pierre Jr.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, April 18 and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at Grand Caillou Baptist Church with the funeral to follow Saturday. She will be buried at Grand Caillou Baptist Cemetery.
Samart-Funeral Home of Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
