Gale C. Lafont, 49, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died after a long battle with cancer, Friday, Sept. 25.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Perry A. Lafont Sr.; one son, Chaz Lafont and wife Amy; four step-children, Crystal and Jody Cheramie, Tait and Michelle Lafont, Perry Jr. and Candy Lafont, and Travis and Trish Lafont; 11 grandchildren, Tressa, Chelsey, Trace, Jaydon, Alexis, Alex, Austin, Ayden, Tait, Morgan and Brooke; three brothers, Jimmy Guidry and family, Raymond Guidry and family, and Michael Guidry and family; and two sisters, Mary Lee Lasseigne and family, and Mary Ann Collins and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paris A. Guidry Sr. and Euchrise Hotard Guidry; one brother, Paris A. Guidry Jr.; and one sister, Joyce Pennison.
She was a vibrant soul who loved life to the fullest. She loved interior decorating and spending time with her family and friends.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at First Baptist Church in Larose, La., with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
