George Anthony Picone, 76, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
Mr. Picone earned a degree in music and was an accomplished saxophone player who also taught music. He played in many bands including community bands in Houma and Thibodaux. He was in the Marine Corps Reserve and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Thibodaux. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Earline Picone; son, George Picone; daughter, Michelle (Timmy) Martinez; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Lillian Picone.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Falgout)
