Joan Sturdivant Earles, 82, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, March 28, 2014.
Ms. Earles was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was best known for her kindness, generosity, sense of humor and smile.
She is survived by her sons, Bill and Glenn Earles; daughters, Janet Shaw and Susan Earles; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Mamie Sturdivant; and brother, Roland Sturdivant Jr.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Chauvin Funeral Home with a Liturgy of the Word to follow. (Chauvin)
