George N. Snyder II, 62, a native of Webberville, Mich., and resident of Bayou Black, LA., died Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, LA.. Memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Military service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.


He is survived by his wife, Marty Snyder; his stepfather, Kerns Ashworth; one son, George N. Snyder III and wife, Melinda; one daughter-in-law, Mary Lynn Snyder; three sisters, Carmen, Susan and Mary; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Contreras Snyder; and one son, Marvin Snyder.

He worked for Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government as an equipment operator III, spray technician, roads and bridges, and vegetation department.

Samart Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
