Georgia Robbins Smith, 75, a native of Ellendale, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died in an automobile accident at 10:31 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008.

She is survived by two sons, Broderick Smith and Elliot Lewis; three daughters, Devie Smith, Alice S. Murray and Margaret S. Cage; one brother, Joe Robbins; one sister, Hazel R. Theriot; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam “Boo” Smith; her parents, Martha Jackson Robbins and Silas Robbins; and one sister, Nell Crawford.

She was a retired cook with the Terrebonne Parish School Board and a foster grandparent volunteer. She was a member at First Corinthian Baptist Church and sang with the choir.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 5, at Living Gospel Church.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
