Gertie Ledet Pierce, 80, a native of Larose, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
Mrs. Pierce was an amazing person who always had a smile on her face. She was an unselfish, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tilman Pierce; son, Brian (Becky) Pierce; daughters, Terra (Cono) Lee, Melanie (Jeff) Andras and Jana (Dominick) Lombas; brother, Jimmy Ledet; sister, Nancy Plaisance; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Etonia Ledet; and brother, Norris Ledet.
Burial is at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
