Gibson Joseph Anselmi, 83, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Aug. 23, at 1:30 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Portier Anselmi; one daughter, Elaine Anselmi Rivere and husband Hansel; four grandchildren, Melissa Hebert Delaune and husband Phillip, Tommy Hebert, Scott W. Rivere, Hansel Rivere Jr. and wife Michelle; and five great-grandchildren, Chance Delaune, Chase Hebert, Dylan Hebert, Justin Rivere and Garrett Rivere.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gelvase Anselmi and Elizabeth Dantin Anselmi; two brothers, Preston Anselmi and Acton Anselmi; and one grandchild, Brent Paul Rivere.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Bayou Black Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
