Lorraine Plaisance Nation, 69, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Sunday, Aug. 23, at 9:35 a.m.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda LeBlanc and husband Joseph “Joe” Jr., Christine Quebedeaux and husband Todd, and Kandy Griffin and husband Billy; five brothers, Cleveland Plaisance, Sedric Plaisance, Godfrey Plaisance, Nessie Plaisance and Conrad Plaisance; two sisters, Adriel Price and Effie Romero; and six grandchildren, Jared LeBlanc, Bandon LeBlanc, Brandy Quebedeaux, Cody Quebedeaux, Gage Griffin and Evan Griffin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Nation; parents, Philoces and Josephine Foret Plaisance; and three brothers, Randolph Plaisance, Warren Plaisance and Whitney Plaisance.
She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church. She was a LSU and Saints fan, and a loving mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at St. Mary’s Nativity Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
