Gloria Manghine Brown, 80, a native of New Orleans, La. and resident of Baton Rouge, La., died at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La. Wednesday, May 13.


She is survived by her daughter, Elodie Brown Chabert and husband, Marty; two sons, Joseph F. Brown III and wife, Jeanine Cazaubon Brown, and Gregory Charles Brown and wife, Kelly Hopkins Brown; and seven grandchildren, Noelle Chabert Gabehart and husband, Sham, Gabrielle and Cameron Chabert, Brandon Brown, Jeffrey, Taylor and Nicholas Russolino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elodie Vicknair Manghine.


She was a past president of the Cosmopolitan Women’s Club of New Orleans, La.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 835 Government St. in Baton Rouge, La. and 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, May 15, at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 4317 Richland Ave, Metairie, La. at the corner of West Esplanade with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the Lake Lawn Metairie Mausoleum.

Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Metairie, La. is in charge of arrangements.
