Gloria Marie Scadlock, 58, a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City, La., died Thursday, March 31, 2011.


Mrs. Scadlock was a loving mother and “MiMi” to her children and grandchildren. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to swamp-pop and hearing her son, Chris, play music. She had a contagious smile and will be missed by all who loved her.


She is survived by her sons, Christopher and Corey (Tanicca Cavalier) Adams; five grandchildren, Kelsey Landry, Ace Christopher Adams, Kobe Peck, and Rylee and Corey Jr. Adams; brother, Terry Scadlock; and sisters, Rosie Ferrier and Susan Herring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen Carter Scadlock; brother, Johnny Scadlock; and one sister, Katie Scadlock.

She is buried at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
