Gregory Joseph Lopez, 25, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Monday, March 12, 2018 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Joseph Church in Chauvin, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church in Chauvin, LA. Burial will follow services in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery, Houma, LA.
Greg is survived by his fiance’ Sadie Marie Dufrene; Parents, James Craig Lopez and Janice Dumont Lopez; Brother, Dr. James Sidney Lopez; Paternal Grandmother, Lillie Lopez Guillory and husband Derald Guillory; and God Father, David Lopez and wife Michelle; God Mother, Mitzi Falcon and husband Andrew; Aunts and Uncles, Nason Dumont and wife Jennine, Debra Harper and companion David Adams, Errol Dumont and companion Louella Lambert, Merril Gautreaux and husband Alfred, Michael Lopez and companion Connie Hodge; many cousins and friends along with his pets Iris and Meg.
Greg is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Harry and Anna Lee Dumont; Paternal Grandfather, Sidney Lopez, Jr.; Uncle, Johnny Lopez.
Greg had a genuine love for Sadie and a smile that was adored by many. He had immense love, admiration, and respect for his brother, James. Greg was a student at LSU and he enjoyed playing soccer with his many friends.
