Harris Joseph Ledet, 75, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, September 29, 2007, at 9:40 p.m.


He is survived by his wife Patricia Dupuy Ledet; three sons, Aaron Ledet and his wife Wendy, Brian Ledet and his wife Paula, and Christopher Ledet and his wife Heidi; four daughters, Wand DeHart and her husband Chad, Leah Parker and her husband Waymon, Elaina Boudreaux and her husband David, and Ashley Ledet; two sisters, Jules LeBlanc and Genevieve Kraemer; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Agnes Pitre Ledet; five brothers, Murphy, Stanley, Columbus, Allen, and Dudley Ledet; and one sister, Mary Ledet.

Harris was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.

Visitation is Tuesday, October 2, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma and Wednesday, October 3, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Louis Catholic Church. He will be buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
