Hayes Marcel Jr., 84, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, died at 8:07 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015.
Mr. Marcel was a Korean War veteran, having served proudly in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and performing magic tricks.
He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (Dave) Lusco, Shonda (Karl) Larousse, Cindy (Wilbert) Foret; son, Ricky (Winnie) Marcel; nine grandchildren, Davey Lusco II, Christopher LeBlanc, Nicole Marcel, Mitchell, Jay, Garrett, Joshua and Seth Marcel and Tyson Foret; brother, Edgard Marcel; and sister, Shirley Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Thigpen; parents, Hayes and Joseph Marcel Sr. and Esther Matherne Marcel; brother, Lionel Marcel; sisters, Jane Trahan and Jeanette Corvin.
Visitation is set for 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., Burial is at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
