Hebert Mitchell Sr., 68, a native of Waterproof, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, April 25.
He is survived by his sons, Guy Mitchell, Gilbert Mitchell and Morris Mitchell; daughters, Brenda Clay, Barbara Collins and LaToya Mitchell; brothers, Morris Scott and Murray Mitchell; sisters, Viola Scott, Ramona Navy and Juanita Douglas; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Ray Mitchell; parents, Viola Scott and Cornelius Mitchell Sr.; son, Hebert Mitchell Jr.; daughter, Saprina Mitchell; brothers, Cornelius, Charlie, Willie, Eugene and Ervin Mitchell; and sister, Catherine Fusilier.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Community Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Halfway Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
