Henrietta “Noon” Martinez Richard, 97, a native and resident of Labadieville, La., died at 4:23 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008.
She is survived by her daughters, Rena and husband Resley Boudreaux, Winnie and husband Pete Boudreaux, Kitty and husband Walter Simoneaux and Martha Landry, all of Labadieville, Nora Latiolais of Metaire, La., Jean and husband Jimmy Chauvin of Chacahoula, La. and Brenda and her husband Henry Landry of Baton Rouge, La.; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hanley Richard; parents, Alphonse and Alice Guillot Martinez; daughter, O’Linda Medine; sons-in-law, Bunnell Medine Sr., Clifford Latiolas and Ronald LeBlanc; brother, Gabriel Martinez; and sisters, Esma Arcement, Daisy Martinez, Alice Blanchard, Lucille LaNormand and Juliette Adams.
She was a member of St. Philomena Church in Labadieville.
Special thanks to her caregivers, Vickie Prejean, Doreen James, Marguerite Naquin and Marilyn Dugas for providing loving care over the past year.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, January 2, at Landry’s Funeral Home in Labadieville with the funeral services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
