Herbert Chartain, 54, a resident and a native of Baldwin, La., died Monday, Aug. 17 at 5:30 a.m.
He is survived by three sisters, Maggie C. Fine and Joy C. Robertson, both of Baldwin, and Barbara Wood of New Iberia, La.; and four brothers, Roy Chartain of Marksville, La., Robert Crachain of Morgan City, La., and Alvin Chartain and Calvin Chartain, both of Baldwin.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, La., with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Sorrell Community Cemetery.
Jones Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
