November 16, 2012Howard Applon Sr., 73, a resident of Jeanerette, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.
Mr. Applon was a member and deacon of Israel Spiritual Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Earnestine, Tonya, Caroly, Alandria and Jeannette Applon; son, Howard Applon Jr.; stepdaughters, Cynthia (Kerry) Joe and Stephanie Jackson; stepson, Authur (Glenda) Jackson; sisters, Annett Etheridge, Jeannette (John) Brooks and Mattie and Emma Applon; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lethus and Earstine Applon; wife, Lillie Applon; daughter, Cassandra Applon; stepdaughters, Gloria Landry and Cassandra Fontenberry; and brothers, Raymond, Clyde and Walter Applon.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at Macedonia Baptist Cemetery in Ashton, La. (Jones)
