Ida Bouffanie Orgeron, 92, a native of Galliano, La., and a resident of Larose, La., died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, November 4.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Guidry and husband Reilly Sr. and Shirley Dominque and husband Forest; one brother, Irvin Bouffanie; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Orgeron; her parents, Pasqual and Eve Bouffanie; one great-grandson, Brandon “Pinky” Guidry; three brothers, Francis, Alcie and Ernest Bouffanie Sr.; and five sisters, Rosalie Bruce, Pearly Plaisance, Theresa Veogracis, Terese Duet and Landa Smith.

She was Catholic.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, November 6, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose with mass to follow. She will be buried at in the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
