Inez Dempster Falgoust, 97, a native and resident of Vacherie, La., died Sunday, September 21.
She is survived by 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Numa J. Falgoust; her parents, Gustave Dempster and Mozella Boutte Dempster; three children, Ray J. Falgoust, Guy J. Falgoust and Bertha F. Cortez; three sisters, Florence D. Cortez, Mable D. Melancon and Ephemie D. Babin; and three brothers, Dodone Dempster, Deal Dempster and Guy Dempster.
A special thanks to the staff at Riverland Healthcare Center, St. James Parish Hospital, Acadian Ambulance and also Father Mike and Father Oubre.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, September 26, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
