Inez Ledet Henry, 97, a native of Bourg, La., and a lifelong resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Aug. 13.

She is survived by one son, Adam Henry and wife Cathy of Tylertown, Miss.; one daughter, Rita Morris and husband Bob of Katy, Texas; three brothers, Hewitt Ledet and wife Isabel of Golden Meadow, La., J.C. Ledet of Houma and Eugene Ledet of Cut Off, La.; two sisters, Felicia Cheremie and husband Kirby of Cut Off, and Bea Steinmetz and husband John of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren, Denise Ronquillo, Tommy Henry, Mary Ann Thompson, Dwayne Morris and Melissa Torrez; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Levis Henry; parents, Eugene and Lucille Ledet; two brothers, Enos and Druis Ledet; and four sisters, Sadie Rhodes, Hazel Plaisance, Gaston (Gladis) Bouzigard and J.C. (Dot) Autin.

She was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister who was always known for her admiration for flowers and beautiful gardens.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
