Irene M. Bubb Elfer, a native of Slough, England and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 1:40 a.m.


She is survived by her sons, Donald A. Elfer Jr. and wife, Vicki, of Alexandria, La., and Mark E. Elfer and wife, Christine, of Milton, Fla.; daughters, Diane E. Rogers and husband, Samuel Sr., of Houma, and Kathleen L. Voisin and husband, Magnus Jr. of Houma; brother, Edward Bubb Jr. and wife, Eva Marin, of Slough; sisters, Muriel Arid and husband, Ralph, of Dorset, England, and Christine Robilliard and husband, Stephen of Dorset; 12 grandchildren, Samuel Rogers Jr. and wife, Ginger, Clint Rogers and wife, Jenika, Shalyn R. Davenport and husband, Chris, Dennis Rogers and fiance, Kamilla Naquin, Misty Elfer, Tonya Williams, Melissa Williams, Anthony Williams, Diane Barr and husband, Kenneth, Phillip Voisin, Suzanne Voisin and Zoe Voisin; 12 great-grandchildren, Angela Rogers, Steven Rogers, Leah Rogers, Austin Pellegrin, Clint Rogers Jr., Garret Rogers, Juliana Davenport, Brittnie Domangue, Bailee Barr, Niki Williams, Kyleigh Isaac and Autumn Gibson; and great great grandchild, Kynlee Domangue.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Elfer Sr.; and her parents, Edward and Florence Bubb.

Irene was a volunteer for 30 years at Terrebonne General Medical Center’s Information Desk where she was volunteer of the year for several years. The people that she worked with and attended church with were like family to her. She loved her family, church and volunteer work and will sadly be missed. She was a member of Bayou Blue United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 08, 2008, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma with a religious service to follow. She will be buried in Rogers Cemetery.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
