Irene Marie Scott Dean, 77, a native of Bourg, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, September 23.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald James Theriot and Joseph “J.C.” Champagne and companion Antoinette Billiot of Houma; three daughters, Norma Woodall and husband Devone of Downsville, Sheryl Belanger, and Roxane Deroche and husband Michael of Houma; two brothers, Louis “L.J.” Scott of Little Caillou, La., and Sidney Scott; two sisters, Margaret Guidry of Houma and Eunice Pitre of Little Caillou; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lester Dean; her parents, Oris Joseph Scott and Evelyn Marie Liner Scott; sons, Glenn Paul Theriot, Thomas Jude Champagne and Francis “Scotty” Champagne; two daughters, Flossie Champagne and Carolyn Champagne; three brothers, C.J. Scott, George Scott and Oris Scott Thibodaux; and one sister, Dorothy Berthelot.
She was a homemaker.
She was buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
