Iris Mercedes Boudreaux, 94, a native of Morgan City, La., and a resident of New Orleans, La., died on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009.
She is survived by her daughters, Anita Louise (Frank) Madrazo and Iris Elizabeth Boudreaux; sister, Marjorie Domangue Guidry; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one stepbrother; and two stepsisters.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Boudreaux; parents, Henry S. Simoneax and Emily Frederick Simoneaux; son, Kenneth Raphael Boudreaux; and great-great-grandchild, Henry S Simoneax.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Chauvin Funeral Home, and on Monday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m., at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
