Irma Rita Pye, 82, a native of Theriot, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, January 2, at 8:30 a.m.
She is survived by her son, Howard III and wife Jean Pye; daughter, Donna and husband James Matherne; brother, Chester A. Champagne; sisters, Hazel Lee, Mayola Wilkerson, Myrtle Battaglia; Mary Landry and Geralyn Molaison; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Louis Pye Jr.; parents, Oliver and Orphise Dumond Champagne; and brother, Hubert Champagne.
She was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, January 5, at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Mass will be at 2 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church with burial at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
