Jake Bourgeois, 56, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Cut Off, La., died Tuesday, March 11, at 1:15 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Corinne Wunstell Bourgeois; son, Darby Bourgeois; and daughter, Daffy Bourgeois and companion, Ben Duet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Livie Lafont Bourgeois; brother, Larry Bourgeois; and sister, Mona B. Martin.
He was a shrimp trawler and a member of the Green Head Duck Club. He was Catholic.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow, La. with mass to follow. He will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
