Jamie Michael Rogers, 49, a resident of Lafourche Parish, La., died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014.
Mr. Rogers was a devoted husband, father, son and friend. He had a passion for RC Racing with his son Ty. He was very generous with his time, always willing to help others without hesitation. He was gifted with an extraordinary mind, helping mentor many others in the field of mechanics. His selflessness will live on through many others as he was an organ donor.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Melissa Rogers; son, Ty Rogers; parents, George and Mable Rogers; and brother, Troy (Dejuana) Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhyan Rogers; and sisters, Georgie and Vickie Rogers.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La. Services will be at 7 p.m. (Falgout)
