Jane Rita Champagne, 83, a native and resident of Bourg, La., died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015.
Mrs. Champagne was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was a retired nurse from Terrebonne General Medical Center.
She is survived by her sons, Edward Jr. (Esmelda), David (Stevie), Marc (Liz), Chris (Brenda), Charles (Rosalynn), James (Stephanie) and Thomas (Dena) Champagne; daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Raymond) Hebert, Carla (Leonard) Wells, Jane (Frank) Dupre, Victoria (Andrew) Benoit; 32 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; brother, Andrew Boquet; and sisters, Ruth Pinell, Rose Mary Rhodes and Gertrude Waggoner.
Visitation is today, Jan. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m., at St. Ann Church. A Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11 a.m. at St. Ann. Burial follows at the church cemetery. (Samart)
