Janet Poiencot Toups, 69, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, June 23, 2014.
Mrs. Toups enjoyed crafting, traveling and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Toups; son, James (Alicia) Toups; daughter, Jody (Troy) Dupre; sisters, Patricia (Roberto) Sanchez, Sandra (Murray) Duplantis, Katherine (Franklin) LeCompte, Kathleen (Theodore) Brunet, Debra (Kenny) Bollinger and Cheryl (Virgus) Poiencot; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Clemence Poiencot.
Burial is at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. (Chauvin)
