Janice Faye Gilleland, 63, a native of Ozark, Ala., and resident of Gray, La., died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.
Mrs. Gilleland loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and did her best to live her life in a way pleasing to Him. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great friend to many and was a faithful member of Safe Harbor Ministries. She enjoyed playing bingo and her favorite bingo markers traveled everywhere with her.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, James Gilleland Jr.; daughters, Penny (Jimmy) Young, Kristi (Charles III) Hoover and Kyle Houston; sons, Richard Kielbassa II and Jacob Houston; brother, Bobby (Susie) Ferguson; sisters, Bonnie (Al) Gibbs, Brenda (Jerry) Wagnon and Charlotte (Wendell) Garrison; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Russell Kielbassa; sister, Mary Ivey; brother, John Ferguson II; and parents, John Sr. and Loree Ferguson.
Burial is at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
