Janice Lou Mayer Brouillette, 77, a native of Port Barre, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013.
Mrs. Brouillette was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a teacher and guidance counselor for more than 35 years and touched many hearts in her profession. She devoted many years as a member of the Krewes of Aphrodite and Christopher and the Civitan Club.
She is survived by her son, Percy (Christine) Brouillette; daughters, Stacey (Robert) Oliver, Kelly Bergeron and Kimberly (Timothy) Songy; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Brouillette Jr.; parents, Murray and Viola Mayer; sisters, Sherry Mayer and Patricia Chiniche; and one grandchild.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
