Jeanette Allen, 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, January 30, at 7:30 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Edward and Robert Allen; daughters, Patricia M. Bowman, Elizabeth Allen, Corsonder A. Payne, Lisa A. Smith and Barbara A. Williams; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Allen Jr.; parents, Pauline Lyons Mitchell and Julius Mitchell; daughters, Stella Mae Allen, Constance Marie Allen and Betty Mae A. Singleton; brothers, Andrew Gray Jr., Cleveland and Jim Mitchell; and sister, Willie Mae Lagarde.
She was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church.
She was buried at St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
