Jennie Pizzolato Dato, 90, a native and resident of Donaldsonville, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011.
Mrs. Dato was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother,
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn (Anthony Sr.) Grisaffe and Frances (Lloyd Jr.) Hidalgo; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Dato; parents, Cecile Sotile and Joseph Pizzolato; and brothers, Tony, Vincent and Jake Pizzolato.
Pallbearers will be Trey Richard, Frankie Sotile, Evan Copeland and Vincent, Joey, Bill and Tad Pizzolato.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, June 20 at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church with entombment to follow at the church cemetery.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital, Amedysis Hospice, and caregivers, Gail Simon, Margie “Cookie” Gibson, Lois Sawyer and Laverne Lawson. (Ourso)
