Jerry “J.J.” Joseph Cheramie Jr., 23, a native of Galliano, La., and a resident of Larose, La., died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, October 31.
He is survived by his wife, Bree Eymard Cheramie; his parents, Jerry Joseph Sr. and Myrna Boudreaux Cheramie; one brother, Jeremiah McDaniel and wife Laci Nacole McDaniel; one sister, Jerena Cheramie; his nephews, Brayden and Brennon McDaniel; and his godmother, April Gisclair Cheramie.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis J. Cheramie Jr. and Rena Gisclair Cheramie, and Nolan Boudreaux Sr. and Virgis Collins Boudreaux; his godfather, Warren “Bo Bo” Michel; and his cousins, Tracy Michel and Jillian Boudreaux.
He worked for Newport Environmental and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was buried at Cheramie Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
