Jerry L. Thompson Sr., 72, a native of Brookhaven, Miss., and resident of Lockport, La., died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Thompson; son, Jerry Thompson Jr.; daughters, Kim (Charles) Gautreaux, Michele Aldridge, Nicole (John Sr.) Chauvin and Brandy Thompson; sister, Loretta Waguespack; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Crawford and Dollena Thompson; brothers, Harry and Harold Thompson; and sister, Mildred Thompson.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport with services to follow. Burial will be at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport. (Falgout)
