Jessie Joseph Chatagnier Sr., 62, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, May 6.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Voisin Chatagnier of Bayou Blue, La.; parents, Medelton and Hazel Price Chatagnier of Bourg, La.; son, Jessie J. Chatagnier of Bayou Blue; daughters, Gail C. Price and husband Ray Price Sr. of Montegut, La., and Jessica Lynn Dupre of Houma; brother, Danny Chataganier of Bourg; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Myron Chatagnier.
He was a retired boat captain for Caillou Island Towing and also worked for Tommy’s Cab. He was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 8, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
