LABI official: Tough times could be coming for La.
February 22, 2010John Bergeron, 55, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at Terrebonne General Medical Center at 11:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010.
Mr. Bergeron was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus Council 7355.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marguerite Champagne of Houma; daughters, Anicia Freerksen of Thibodaux and Tiffany Bergeron of Houma; stepdaughter, Rachel Newman of New Orleans; brother, Freddie Bergeron of Dularge; sisters, Ezel Cherry of Gray and Gayle Savoie of Houston; and grandchildren, Alyssa Freerksen of Thibodaux and Collin Mills of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Nada Daigle Bergeron.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. A Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Bernadette Catholic Church are appreciated.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
