John Nelson “Tibby” Brupbacher, 79, a native and former resident of Thibodaux, La., and longtime resident of Des Allemands, La., died at 10:20 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011.
He is survived by his son, Gary (Sandra) Brupbacher; brothers, Jesse and Glenn Brupbacher; sisters, Thelma Bernard, Ida Doland, Betty Ruiz and Geraldine Vannoy; and three grandchildren, Gary Jr., Tracy and Reece Brupbacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Sr. and Lydia Pertuit Brupbacher; son, Bruce Nelson Brupbacher; brothers, Orie and Otto Jr. Brupbacher; and sisters, Clara “Sis” Dufrene and Ruth “Dootsie” Roy.
He is buried at Christen Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
