Officials tout public’s participation in recycling

John Ellis Haynes, 78, a native of Pelihatchie, Miss., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010.
Mr. Haynes was a veteran of the National Guard and the U.S. Army. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Hickman Haynes; sons, John Jr. and Jeffrey Haynes; daughters, Glenda Haynes, Shirley (Glenn) LeBoeuf and Barbara (Jeff) Barton; sisters, Margie Manning, Laura Whitehead, Mary Cunningham, Betty Bradshaw and Carolyn Saxton; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Falgout Funeral Home with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
