John “Livewire” Johnson, 71, a native of Gibson, La. and resident of Whiting, NJ died Thursday, December 13, 2007.
He is survived by his four sons, Johnnie Johnson, Darryl Jacobs, Bruce Gatling, and Yul Johnson; two daughters, Yolanda Rhames Smith and Yvonne Rhames; three sisters, Eula Mae Carter, Hilda Washington, and Essie Johnson; and two brothers, Agustas and Joseph Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Butler Johnson and Andrew Johnson, Sr.; and two brothers, Andrew Johnson, Jr. and Alexander Johnson, Sr.
John was a devout Baptist. He retired from Anheuser-Bush.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Baptist Church in Gibson. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
Cushine-Houston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
