Johnny P. Foret, 78, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 10:01 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011.
He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews. He was a loving husband, father and father-in-law and an avid cook. No one was ever a stranger in his eyes.
He is survived by his wife, Nola Adams Foret; son, David Foret; daughters, Rebecca Ricks, Kathleen “Kathy” (Randy) Guidry and Susan (Lawrence) Guidry; brothers, Junius and Armand Jr. Foret; sisters, Bertha Mae Theriot, Azema “Susie” Arabie and Mildred Anderson; six grandchildren, Sarah Ricks, Heath, Amanda, Colin, Traci and Kailey Guidry; and five step-grandchildren, Stephen Ricks Jr., Catherine Colbert, Jerry and John Ricks and Susan Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armand Joseph and Georgia Champagne Foret; and one son-in-law, Stephen Ricks Sr.
He is buried at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
