Joseph Kendal Brown, 86, a native of Morgan City, La., died Friday, April 8, 2011.


Mr. Brown was a veteran of WWII serving his country prior to his marriage to Gladys Simmons that lasted over 60 years. He was a quiet man, he enjoyed watching sports on television, riding around town and visiting his many friends. He retired from Sunoco Oil and spent his remaining years enjoying his family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


He is survived by his son, Bruce (Barbara) Brown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene John and Dorothy Williams Brown; wife, Gladys Simmons Brown; son, Blaine Brown; three brothers; and three sisters.

He is interred at Morgan City Mausoleum. (Hargrave)
