Joseph “Jay” Fertitta, 23, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, and resident of Thibodaux, LA., died Friday. January 26, 2007.


Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.


He is survived by his parents, Joseph “Joe” Fertitta and Marian Boudreaux Fertitta; one sister, Katie Fertitta; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Salvador Sam Fertitta, Viola L. Brower, Richard J. Boudreaux Sr. and Lucille Leblanc Boudreaux.

He was a loving son, brother and friend to many.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bayou Area Habitat for Humanity or the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux Council of Catholic School Co-operative Clubs.

Thibodaux Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
