Joseph “Nonk Joe” L. Lorraine Jr., 88, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Friday, July 22, 2011.
Mr. Lorraine was a member of Greenhead Club and Holy Name Society. He was a shrimper all his life and enjoyed dancing and traveling.
He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Joyce Danos; son, Michael (Sandra) Lorraine; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Lorraine; parents, Joseph Sr. and Grace Lorraine; granddaughter, Cathy Bruce; daughter, Emelda Bruce; brothers, Frank and Lindberg Lorraine; and sisters, Hilda Lafont and Edia Orgeron.
Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery. (Falgout)
