Josette Moore, 43, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Patterson, La., died Saturday, May 24.
She is survived by her mother Annette Smith of Gibson, La.; her adoptive mother, Diana Carter of Thibodaux; sons, Skylar Walcott, Derrick Ward, and David Ward of Thibodaux, and Donald James of Houston, Tx.; foster son, Lyndell Moore of Thibodaux; daughter, Ashley Moore of Thibodaux; step-daughter, Melliska Joseph; brothers, Wayne Moore of Gibson, Perry Patrick Moore of Patterson, Corey Moore and Timmie Moore of Thibodaux; adopted brother, Tyrone Carter of Thibodaux; step-brothers, Bennit Collins Jr., of Thibodaux, Brian Smith of Marmont, Tx., Corey Smith of New York and sweet Pea of Thibodaux; sisters, Shewnell Moore of Thibodaux and Gail Moore of Gibson; step-sister, Dina M. Pitt of Thibodaux; and seven grandchildren. .
She was preceded in death by her father, Bennit Collins Sr.; foster daughter, Anita Ward; grandparents, Orlando Moore and Annette Hill.
She was Baptist and enjoyed cooking.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, at Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., with the religious service to follow. She will be buried at Halfway Cemetery in Gray, La.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
