Joshua Paul “Dough Boy” Prosperie, 20, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 10:40 p.m.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Tammy Lynn P. and Kerry Pitre; father, Tony Martin; step-father, Raymond Matherne; maternal grandparents, Myron Sr. and Karen Boudreaux Prosperie; maternal great-grandmother, Theresa Prosperie; paternal grandparents, Roy and Sherry Hutchinson Martin; brother, Justin Matherne; half-brothers, T.J. Martin Jr. and Dokota Martin; step-brothers, Kerry Jr. and Trey Pitre; sister, Josie Matherne; and step-sisters, Chelsi Pitre and Brittany Lebouef .
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Myron Prosperie.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to help defray the funeral expenses.
Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008, and 8:00 a.m. until the time of the services Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at Falgout Funeral Home’s Chapel. He will be buried at Sacred Heart cemetery in Montegut, La.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
