November 18, 2011Joyce Degruise Plaisance, 77, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 11:48 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011.
Mrs. Plaisance was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews, La.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne, Ricky (Mona), Dennis (Tammy) and Peter (Ann) Plaisance; daughter, Peggy (Wade) Howes; brother, Wilfred Degruise; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Plaisance; parents, Adonis and Josephine Degruise; brother, Sidney Degruise; sisters, Mildred Rodriguez and Mae Waguespack; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at St. Hilary Catholic Church with services to follow. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland. (Falgout)
