Joyce Roux Jones, 80, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Sept. 3.
She is survived by three children, Christine Ducos Toups and husband Charlie, Susan Ducos Hebert and husband Sammy, and Madonna Jones Bourgeois and husband Michael; three sisters, Jeanne Roux Tipton, Gladys Roux Webre and Doris Roux Richard; six grandchildren, Adrienne Toups Viator and husband Dustin, Grant Toups, Jamie Hebert, Lacey Hebert Biondo and husband Jared, Lee Bourgeois and wife Holly Grant Bourgeois, and Ellen Bourgeois; and two great-grandchildren, Hayes and Tate Viator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, VJ and Vivian Roux; and one son, Peter Ducos.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chester Boudreaux, the Journey Hospice staff and wonderful caregivers, Brenda Williams, Peggy Kelly and Mary Vicknair.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Elementary School, St. Genevieve Elementary School and St. Jude Missions.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, September 4, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
